You come in here day after day and listen to us shred everything that you hold as being moral and right, then, one day you speak up to defend what you believe and everyone jumps on you. It's not your fault that we are malcontent with religion for one reason or another. There's no way that you could have anticipated the latent frustration that the people here have for religion. Actually, it's all just too bad. Sanzo ...I don't think talking to God should be limited to a damn building... @Arc: There are separately journaled accounts, one of which I can recall hearing about; a Jewish historian who documented the death of Jesus (as a mere occurrence, with none of the Christian mythos about it.) He lived He walked he breathed and He still does, in heaven.
@Sanzo: I think He would be disappointed that you dislike so much even the idea of going to Church, certainly. I don't think he'd ever be angered by it unless you were doing it for spite of Him, which I doubt you are.
The Mass (and thus the reason for going to Church on Sunday in the first place, the second being to strengthen you in your faith and ability to do good for others) is the greatest reason for the Church. The whole point of the Church, of Catholicism is to get your soul to heaven. Can you get there even if you neglect to go to Mass? Certainly. Worse sinners than you will ever be live now in heaven.
And all I can say to that, Sanzo, is that the building is certainly not damned if Jesus resides therein.
EDIT: @Tsuj: Thank you again. sweatdrop One thing I'll say, though, is I know what I was getting into when I started. We've run this round before, abeit with not quite the same cast.

My dislike for going to church really has more to do with how I've seen religious people act. I figure I've got things covered on my own and if I don't... well I haven't done anything in my life I highly regret. I'm not trying to attack you Eien, I'm really not. You have to understand that the most religious people in my family are also the same people who are racist, think they're better than others just because they're better looking, etc etc. It's.... disappointing to say the least.

@Sanzo: That's not a religious person, that's a bigot. You have my wholehearted sympathy for your great lack of proper role models. I really have been particularly blessed with my wonderful mother. sweatdrop Never having had a bad role model for my faith, I really don't understand how it is for people who grew up Catholic without that. I'm sorry, and you have my condolences for what little they are worth.
