Bass20XX Viral C At least i'll be going to a dragonforce concert tomorrow >w< probablt the most exciting thing i've done all summer XD Concert? My friend, Gig is the correct word. whee Also, I have their new CD. Oh, I'm such a rebel. whee Well its my first "Gig" so i'm sorry Bass XD they are suppose to be playing all of their songs 3nodding

Hmm, I think here on these shores, one would use "gig" if their band happen to be the one playing, or if they were on staff. Otherwise it's a concert.
Edit: I thought of more! I think a "gig" is usually a smaller venue then... say a "performance." If you're playing at a coffee house, or a bar, that's more like "gig" status by me. A gig is more something you do to make a little money; bands with more fame and fanbase tend not to have to get "gigs" because they have contracts, and make suitable amounts of money without having to find jobs and starve for their art.
