Ciel Avec Cafeine x3 I don't know anything about bears. Generally, bears are fuzzy and, um, larger. smile (And quite a few of them *seem* to be into leather.) *shrug* smile

Yeah... Stress seems to pile on me. Good stress I don't mind, but once bad stress mixes in I get really overwhelmed since it's a very weird thin line that I'm balancing on.
And naw... I'm not hairy, at least not in the visible-hair-everywhere hairy. I do have to watch facial hair though - that gets really messy if I don't maintain it or just shave it off.
I think, no matter how I say it's not true, that I still want to look like what my parents wanted me to be. So I can sort of empathize on the messed-up thing you're feeling Tae. Even now I still want to look good to my parents, but... well... My parents have a different good it seems than what I want.
Edit: I apologize as well Sanz; This conversation just piqued me enough to keep talking about it. As for bears... well... aretoo has sort of summed it up in an efficient use of words. I'm not a fan of leather though, unless it's boots. *supermegaultrablush*

Sanzoskitsune *sigh* I really don't know what to add to this conversation Well, you could talk about stereotypical societal expectations with your family and with the hispanic society in general... or you could just tell us how many times you've seen Dark Knight now... wink

Yay for hairy guys, I guess? My ex was pretty hairy, but he was short and skinny, so I don't think he was a bear. He didn't identify that way, at least.
>_> It takes me forever to grow facial hair, so I usually just leave it be.
Sometimes it's impossible to please one's parents and still keep your sanity, Lin. sweatdrop

Heh... I know it is impossible, Tae. My standards have gone down though; right now, I'm just wanting tolerance/acceptance from them (not from me being gay - they already showed their interest in that when they just sort of "forgot", but just acceptance of who I am and that I am correct in what I say sometimes).
I sort of want to try facial hair looks once my hair is long enough to donate (I grow my hair out to donate to Locks for Love). Me with facial hair and the long hair though just looks gawd awful to me, though people say I look better with longer hair. Not really sure...

x3 My mum "forgot", too. She's never had any sort of expectations for me (aside from me getting confirmed), so she's quite easy to please. I know it's probably not funny for you, though. sweatdrop It would be nice if they'd accept that your opinions and thoughts are as valid as theirs.
I can't imagine myself with long facial hair. It gets to the scruff stage and just...stops.

aretoo *could* be a bear without much effort... if he were of a mind to do so. I'm short, stocky, and rather fuzzy; I even have "hobbit toes". smile However, I don't really want to get that big, nor do I identify with that particular subsection. Actually, I don't really *identify* with any specific part of the community, really. Just like high school all over again, I can move among them without belonging to any of them. ^_^
If you haven't seen it, there's a picture of Jimmy, Kusa and I a page or two back in the pix thread, and you can see my goatee. The funny thing is, I really have it for Kusa; I generally keep myself clean-shaved except for once or twice a year. But... I get a heavy 5 o'clock shadow (not as heavy as some, but...), and Kusa found it too scratchy. smile
Annoyingly, I'm always told how good I look *with* a goatee, and how much younger I look without it... rolleyes mrgreen

x3 Hobbit toes. I have them. razz It's okay aretoo, I'm not really part of any subsection either.
Aw, those are nice shots of the three of you. =3 Five o'clock shadow-type scruff is really scratchy. sweatdrop

That's sort of where it gets for me as well in terms of facial hair Tae. Hence why it just looks so gosh-darn messy that I just shave it off. *has a thing for looking professional when he can*
And... maybe I should've been more clear; emotional bear? Generally the gay bear stereotype is physically hairy and chubby, and emotionally down-to-earth, very guy-like, and essentially not queeny (though there are exceptions).
. . .
Actually the "bear" stereotype isn't a very good one at all, in that there's no one definition. XD
*looks for aretoo*

Oh well... Generally I'm the same online as offline, save I'm probably a bit more... efficient of words in person. So... well... no need to use a generalization/abstraction then?
@Aretoo: Very nice, both on the beariest bear person you know and of the three of you in the pictures. Looks like it was a fun evening.
*yawns* Gawds... I should get to bed... the Tylenol PM is working now. But I don't want to go to bed yet, and I still don't want to go to church *pouty* But I'm setting a good example... or a bad one...? Not sure...
