Silver Hellsing Celestial Burden I want Linux so bad. I managed to get the computer partitioned (FINALLY. IT REFUSED TO WORK.) and then the Install CD was all, "lol sorry something is missing."
FALCON PUNCH THAT PIECE OF s**t.
.... Wait, is it the computer I'm thinking of?The old one? Yeah, that happened on it too. But this one partitioned too... and then decided the CHKDSK OF ALL THINGS. WHY. EDIT: I don't care what you say, Jiro. Windows fails. The only good thing about it is that I know how to fix most of my problems that -can- be fixed.

You could probably obtain an operating system via Torrent? :3 There are some good Linux options out there, and... well... I can't suggest the other option without breaking TOS.

XP was as horrible as vista at one point
if anyone remembers alot of people kept windows 2000 because XP was horrible

Windows Vista does have DirectX 10, which a lot of newer games need. In addition, if one has a good enough GPU, Vista is actually faster because it puts the drawing work of all the windows to the GPU instead of the CPU, meaning that the CPU can actually do it's main job instead of having to draw the screen first.
Windows Server 2008 is apparently better than Vista, and DirectX 10 can still be installed on it. :3

Hrmm... If you want to be safe sell it for the golds.
But there is a chance you'll end up with an item worth more than the box itself... If you're willing to risk it open.
Edit: I never said there was a problem GTR. But the Intarwebz is buzzing that Windows Server 2008 is like Vista without the bloat.
