I know. =s French teachers should, you know, speak French. Generally speaking. xp

How long has Domo been gone?

I should hope that French teachers know how to speak French and teach French. But... with the advent of books that state "With these easy steps you can teach _____ without any prior experience" (Yes, there are textbook systems for all subjects that actually say that) I'm not surprised that people teach without actual experience. It's... scary.

I'm not sure when Domo left; I only noticed it recently when reading Lobo's post. Hello Chex.

And ineffective. I was in French class from grade 4 through graduation, and when I was done, I could barely form a sentence.

I hope the two of you are doing well, Sentama; Ciel.

Mhm... I was fortunate enough to take advantage of pen pals and whatnot when I took French. Otherwise I probably would've learned little French in my public school years. I don't even know how I retained some of my knowledge; I still mix up vowel conjugations often, and forget where words should be sometimes.

Edit: I hope you're faring alright as well, Chex. How was your evening?

You too, Chexed.

Lin: Use it or lose it, essentially. =3

Ahh.. That's way too true, Tae. I still don't have good occasions to practice French, but I force myself to use it on occasion *looks at his scattered pieces of sheet music right now*.

I did have an alright time. Free food at a relative's house is always a good thing. I went swimming this afternoon in, get this, salt water. Not the disgusting chlorine that turns your hair green, but actual salt water. It was a change.

I can say I'm glad that I was able to wash my hair, though. D: Not washing it because you know you'll get it funky in the pool is not something I'm going to do again. *Shudders.* Overall, it was pleasant, thank you for asking.

Evening, dudes and dudette! biggrin

Mm... I much prefer swimming in fresh or salt water places than over chlorinated pools; I believe my skin gets really irritated in chlorine so I do my best to not be around it. It sounds like a fun time though. Sounds like you went to a beach or sea or something?

Edit: Good eve, Paul. How fared your day?

I learned to swim in salt water, and I much prefer it to chlorine. Few people have pools where I'm from; why waste the money when it's a 5 minute drive to the beach? x3

@_@ For sure. I'll trade you for some peace and quiet. You can have one of my lesbian roommates?

I'm in Spanish class... and I remember some words, but... eh, enough to say some nonsense then ask where the bathroom is, right?

Hola, everybody =P

The house my dad had us move into has a pool, but... I don't swin in it much. No fun without other people to hang out with, and family doesn't count, right? ^.^;

A beach in a desert? Ha, that'll be the day. No, actually, where I went swimming was the relative's house. I can understand about the irritation; my skin gets disgustingly dry and it has a hard time recovering.

If it was an actual beach, you wouldn't catch me swimming in the ocean. I have a fear of the water, believe it or not. I just enjoy running into the water and then trying to escape the wrath of the waves, squealing and having a grand ol' time.

@Paul: Hello, dear. heart
