Sanzoskitsune say it aretoo, you know you want to say it! my reaction to that Arc would be something along the lines of... "I'M NOT GILLIGAN! *pouts*" honestly, I've never seen Gilligan's Island...so I'm not catching the reference sweatdrop

@Arc — There are two things that customers call me that invariably make me smile. The first is sir (especially if it's an older man and is delivered naturally) and the other is buddy.
The Captain calls Gilligan "Little Buddy".

I call pretty much everyone "sir" or "ma'am" if I don't know them; much more proper and professional than, say, "hey, you". mrgreen

I only call people sir or ma'am if I remember too... and also if the occasion calls for it.

I call almost every guy Sir but I'm very careful about the Ma'am. Had my head bitten off by one too many middle aged women in denial to use that one.
Of course, I do get the occasional "I'm no sir, I work for a living!" which just pisses me off.
@Aretoo & Arc — I had a guy tonight that threw a quarter on counter to get my attention...

I only got wide-eyed one time that I got called Ma'am, and that was when I was like 14 or 15 and I wondered if I really looked that adult already
