A figure stalked the through an old abandoned house. This curious man has hooded eyes the colour of cooling embers . His fine, shoulder length, chocolate coloured hair is worn in a style that reminds you of the rays of the sun. He is tall and has a graceful build. His wardrobe is casual, with dull earthy colours.
His flashlight illuminated the hallway before him as he walked. Metal of candle sticks shined, the thick dust in the air swirled and the shadows the peeling wallpaper cast gave the eeire impression of the walls reaching out for him. Unwavored he pressed on to the bedroom.
The circle of light focused on a small hanging sign. "Clarice" it read. This was where the explorer stopped. He took a moment to collect himself. He took a few deep breaths before reaching for the rusty door knob. With very little noise the pale cream door moved freely, opening into yet another dark room. A hint of moonlight glowed around the outline of the curtains.
The flashlight danced about. It flicked from a neat pile of dolls upon a dresser, to a tall elegant wardrobe and to what it had been searching for. The bed. The flashlight revealed the pink colour of the faded quilt from the curtain of darkness. It trailed further up the bed, over a mound, until finally falling upon the face of whom occupied it's covers.
The man stepped closer and stared. The empty eyes of a woman looked up at him. Her cheeks were worn and shriveled, her lips blue, her eyes cold and dull and her grey hair lay in a mess over the pillow. She had been here a very long time, but something told the man she would have once been a very beautiful person.
The light moved from the bed and into the man's bag. He pulled out a cell phone and quickly dialed a number. There was a short ring before the click of someone answering. "Yes?" Asked a tired man's voice, "What is it?"
"I found her."
"It can't be! How did you find her?" Answered the voice, now fully alert.
"I'll tell you when you arrive. Wollongong. I'm in Wollongong, Australia."
He clapped the flip phone closed and dropped it back into his bag. He moved to look back at the woman once more when suddenly his arm jerked, causing him to drop the flashlight. Before he could react his arm was pulled again. The last thing he remembered before losing conciousness, was a sharp pain in his forearm, and the darkness engulfing him.
