If it makes you feel any better, Tsuji, there aren't any Sonics in Portland currently (one half an hour west, 1 about an hour south, and one across the Columbia in Washington, which, depending on traffic, could be 20 minutes or 3 hours. smile
And the first Krispy Kreams in Portland did the same thing to traffic, briefly; now they're old-hat. smile

I laugh at your silly towns going crazy for doughnuts and drive-ins! lol
Terra: My god, huh? Hmmm... Great, that's gotta be an interesting swear... Anywho, nice ta see ya ^.^ *huggles*
Linny: Hmmm... ice cream might be good, but... you'd have to get through the ice cream to get to the cake, so I'd say the meringue?

I personally hate meringue.
@Aretoo — Minnesota had about 80 billion Krispy Kremes open up 6 or seven years ago. They came, they flourished, they died. Spectacularly. I think they lasted a whole 2 years and there's only one left in the state. I figure Sonic will be crazy for a month (three weeks from now) and then will be no busier than the Burger Time that was there before.
@Lobo — It's not funny! I work right next door to the Sonic and seriously have been answering calls about how long the line at Sonic is! I've started telling people that it's short so that they'll end up wasting as much of their time as they've wasted mine... stare

I guess it's the ice cream then. *nodnod* Or... I could just go with a gigantic dollop of frosting. *shudders at all that buttercream*

Tsuji: Eh, it's funny 'cause I'm not livin' it =/
Anywho, it's after 3AM here... I should head off to bed. Night all ^.^ *huggles*
Linny: Hmmm... you could try other kinds of frosting, though?

To be honest, I really do like the menu selections at Sonic, and if they were nearby-ish, we'd be going there a lot more often. smile
The chain I really miss (the local franchisee went bankrupt, and no-one's swooped in with new restaurants) is/was Boston Market. *drooooool* smile
And Linny, what about a relatively thin layer of frosting with perhaps some seasonal berries atop?
EDIT: 'Night, sleep well! ^_^

That sounds delicious, aretoo. And also decidedly gay fare... Oooh! As a garnish for the berries, some fresh peppermint sprigs!
I might do that if I can buy some berries this Thursday along with some veggies.
Night Lobo!

Well, aretoo, you're the first person I've run across that actually liked Boston Market. I'm partial to Hardee's myself, but I don't think you have them out there.
I know, Lobo, I know... Be well. =]
[edit]Be well, Stir.

G'night, Lobo!
Anything with berries is win.
I've never heard of this Sonic before. It's a bit nuts though that people are calling up neighboring places to find out how long the lines are. O_o

I actually don't mind Boston Market fare; I found it appetizing enough.
Right now I have to say that my favourite main faster-food chain would probably be either Chipotle or Hardees. A local place I always go for some good light lunch though is Tensuke Sushi and Bento in Minneapolis, MN, United States. I could get a light seaweed salad, some soybeans, a ball of onigiri, and some tea for about 3-4 bucks. Though... their menu changes very often so it's different depending on season.

[ Terra ] ... I've never heard of this Sonic before. It's a bit nuts though that people are calling up neighboring places to find out how long the lines are. O_o ^That's one of the very reasons that it's so popular right. Shitty little town + Shiny new thing = mayhem. @Silver — Carl's Jr. buying them out only made them better. biggrin @Lin — Around here I like Main Street Eatery. I can get a one pound roast beef sandwich with a soda for about 5 bucks. In Coon Rapids, though, there's this dingy little Mandarin place that is fabulous.
