Sure thing, Sister, though the current poem I read is a bit distressing.

William Blake, Songs of Innocence and Experience
A LITTLE BOY LOST
‘Nought loves another as itself,
Nor venerates another so,
Nor is it possible to thought
A greater than itself to know.

‘And, father, how can I love you
Or any of my brothers more?
I love you like the little bird
That picks up crumbs around the door.’

The Priest sat by and heard the child;
In trembling zeal he seized his hair,
He led him by his little coat,
And all admired his priestly care.

And standing on the altar high,
‘Lo, what a fiend is here!’ said he:
‘One who sets reason up for judge
Of our most holy mystery.’

The weeping child could not be heard,
The weeping parents wept in vain:
They stripped him to his little shirt,
And bound him in an iron chain,

And burned him in a holy place
Where many had been burned before;
The weeping parents wept in vain.
Are such things done on Albion’s shore?

His poetry was a bit of a social critique of the current corrupt culture of his time, Sister. His poetry is public domain now and, should you ever be intrigued, you should be able to find this book of poems. It's a set of poems divided into the poems of Innocence and Experience, one being more optimistic than the other, though all being very romantically dark.

I've always been too dense for poetry. It's generally pretty much over my head. =D

That poem is really sad, though.

That particular poem is part of the Experience set, where the child realizes that... well... as much as he was taught to love all... it doesn't happen that way...

But I digress; I'm no expert in poetry, but Blake just intrigues me because of his darkness.

What. The ******** just had an email from my course tutor telling me that I might not actually be getting onto next year, because a bunch of people have complained and said I've threatened them.

WHAT THE HOLY ********?! I've NEVER threatened anyone at college.

AAARGH, DO NOT NEED THIS. NOT AT ALL. ******** HELL?! WHY ME?!

WHY IS SOMEONE ALWAYS TRYING TO STAND IN MY ******** WAY?!

I don't think so, "Pound" isn't the most common surname around
