@Sanzo — I wouldn't say that. Theirs is a visual medium, and as such, emphasizes a visual imagination. I find that the books that I'm most drawn to have strong visual descriptions that translate well into movies. I don't read Michael Crichton's books, I see them. The plot is secondary to the visual and, as such, is often borrowed.
