I have my tongue pierced, and for the sake of my teeth, the jewelry is plastic. (Glows in the dark, I think, but I haven't stared into my mouth recently with a mirror in the dark.)
Hopefully it heals...instantly. ;_;

Quick poll, if everyone would be so kind.
Who here thinks that if you teach someone about murder and what is defined as murder that means you are telling people to commit murder?

Tae: Ah, yeah, I've heard plastic is safer for the teeth. :3 You should take a pic of that sometime! biggrin *huggles* I hope it heals really fast. ^^
GTR: I don't think that means you are telling people to commit murder. What brought this about?

o_O
That poll reminds me of some people's arguments against sex education. If you tell kids about birth control, safer sex practices, and their bodies, they're just going to go out there and have sex! rolleyes

Hello to everyone from the Powerbook! mrgreen
@GTR: Sure... in much the same way that sex education is telling kids to go have sex, and theological training is telling the students to be gods. wink

[sarcasm] Well of course. I mean, teens would NEVER go out and have sex unless it was talked about in school. And even if they did, they would magically know how to have safe sex and not get STDs or get pregnant. [/sarcasm] Yeah... I have an issue with people who think sex ed in school is bad. razz
EDIT: aretoo: *glomp-huggles* Got it set up then? Nice! biggrin I is drawing a comic of the conversation I had earlier with Jaft. ^^

x3 My sex-ed course only talked about sex between two people of the opposite sex. Look how well that kind of "encouragement" worked... biggrin
Seriously, we spent so much time studying STDs and personal hygiene and pregnancy and birth control that it was kind of a huge put-off for sex.

I was trying to understand how people could be so stupid as to actually try and use that argument in favor of their side.
What brought it on was people actually claiming that learning should be removed from schools on that basis.
