Kerri: Yes, yes it does. I just can't decide which to get and now that VLC just released 0.9.2 I sort of want to get it to test it out. Seeing as everyone around here always asks me what to get and stuff! D; Too much pressure on Juan! Lol. It is good I know.
Bass: You want my old laptop ? It works fine. Except that it has no hard drive. >.>;

@Iecur: VLC sucks, Get CCCP instead. And the hard drive is one of the things that died. The read heads actually made contact with the platters. There was an ungodly screeching as they connected

Wait since when did CCCP start offering a media player ? It's a good player ?
Also, ouch about the hard drive. On mine my cousin's kid just spilled water on it whilst it was on and killed it.

CCCP is a codec pack, but it does include both Media Player Classic and Zoom player, both of which can play anything I throw at them.

I usually install Media Player Classic with Real Alt Lite.
I guess I was just thinking about aesthetics seeing as any of these will play everything. I would suspect they can can handle oh shoot what was it called ? Up muxing ? From Stereo to 5.1 surround sound. I should really learn this techno-babble but I think I'm going to become a librarian so I see no point to it. x'D
Also, what would you recommend for ripping and for transcoding audio files ?
Kerri: I could do that. >.>; But then that's sooo much work. x'D
