@Erve: Well... pot roast, potatoes, carrots, and onions with gravy; I think it's pretty tasty, and Kusa seems to agree... biggrin
(Kusa says, "Mmmmmm")

We have plenty of cute girls that work there, Jimmy. I called from work one night and asked the manager to "Send some food with a carhop. A cute one." He didn't think it was as good an idea as I did... @Erv — It's in southeastern Minnesota.

Well, you can't beat a good roast. Sounds like it might make a decent stew as well. All the way over in the middle of the country, huh... That's actually relatively close, or at least as close as Virginia can get to Minnesota...

Erverain Did they give you soggy fries and a limp burger? Last time I went (the only time, mind you), that's what I got. And the root beer was this close to being flat. So, how are you doing otherwise, Jimmy? Sorry about dissapearing. The food wasn't so bad. It was quality, as far as fast food is concerned. But I'm doing alright. I could complain more but who would want to hear that? I know I wouldn't.

Well, how about something you don't feel like complaining about? Weather? Women? Sports? Anything to keep away from the horrible silence that pervades this place?

Ooookay... no, no, I'll definitely spare you guys. I've found a hundred things to complain about...
I think I may need to get drunk...
I think I may need to abuse something right now.

But bad things happen when one is drunk! Like waking up next to a bucket of yuck. Or a swamp creature. And besides, Jimmy, I've got nothing better to do.

Woah there, Jimbo. What happened to the whole straightedge deal?

Hah... I can't believe anyone remembers me saying I was straightedge. Yes, well I don't think I've really overstepped my own boundaries, I've drank a few times since turning twenty-one, and never irresponsibly. However tonight I've found a bank of sorrow, and I think I'd like to see it drowned.
I've found I'm a very depressed drunk, the first time I drank, I actually collapsed behind a futon and cried. I think I'd like to experience that again. It sounds like it'd be a shovel up from the contempt I've been feeling for the last fifteen minutes to be honest...

Well, there is a more liver-friendly alternative. You could just vent spleen and get it all out of your system.

Funny thing, Erv, I can't actually vent this one. I'm hopefully going to carry it to my grave. But thanks for the ear. You're on my good list.

Well, I find that one of the few things I'm actually good at is hearing people out. Not listening per se, but hearing them out and keeping them from putting all sorts of abuse on themselves. ...For some reason this sounded oddly arrogant to me...

Hah, I think you're fine, Erv. And I understand. I would usually insist on talking about it, but I really don't think I have much of a desire, or option with this particular subject. So never fear. I don't intend on making a habit out of it. I doubt I'll even be able to find somebody to drink with... so it probably won't happen... but if it does, I will survive.
