...Sanzo called me stoopid!11 crying
But seriously, I disagree. I know we always hear about the horrible things happening, but that's just because that kind of news sells. You have to have darkness to appreciate light. Have you ever noticed that it seems each new generation seems to achieve things faster than the older one did? Just think about how young some doctors are. Records are always being broken.

When I was few years younger, I would say I hated being an American, I'd say I hated everything that we stood for, etc., etc. I'd get into so much trouble for it.
We say we hate this country only because we have the freedom to say so. We know what freedom is, we know what voting is. We know what it's like to have food on our plates night after night. We know what it's like to have insurance and welfare. We know what it's like to live a respectable life and have a family in a comfortable home. And yet, a lot of the time, we take things for granted and snub our noses at it all because things aren't going the way we want them to.
The sad thing is is that the rest of the world depends on us. And when we go down, the rest of the world goes down with us. Sure, some'll be able to recover a bit faster than we will, but we'll get there.
I dunno, count yourself lucky that we're not part of the Great Depression baby boomers. Life REALLY sucked back then when the banks had nothing else to do but invest in themselves, thus making them more liable to collapse in on themselves.
*Sighs.* I'm feeling a little bit better. Arc's going to let me know when he gets off work so I can further complain to him.

@Rachel I don't base that off the news m'dear I base it off all the idiots I have to deal with from the local high school campus on a daily basis
@Chex meh I have mixed feelings about the US, I mean there are times when the country as a whole disgusts me and there are other times I see hope. I really don't know how I feel in the end.

You don't always have to know how you feel. One day you'll know, and it probably won't matter at that point.
Edit: I don't really know if you'll ever know, I just thought it sounded cool. cool

I'll be patriotic when I need to. Whatever I have to say doesn't count even when the politicians are like, "We're all about what the people have to say." In 2012, I'll be able to vote and that's what counts.
I'd be all to happy to write a thousand page rant about how my state's representatives in Congress can change things. I actually know where one of their offices is, which, it just so happens, is down the street from where I live.
Blah. My neck hurts and head doesn't feel any better. On top of that, my appetite's back with vengence and I'm starving. stare

I'm actually at a point where I wish I could vote, if only cause Bush is an idiot and I don't want another one of him in office.

I finished the Dollanger series, if anyone cares. I liked the first and last book, but all those in-between I could have done without.

I am eating something, actually. An apple. Because I was so sick, my body wasn't really concentrating on eating food. I'm eating light foods so, just in case I should have a relapse, I don't want to become so disinterested in food that it makes me nauseous.
@Bass: Good work~

The first book in the series is about four children locked in a room that connects to an attic, food being brought every day by a grandmother determined not to love them. They wait each day taking care of each other as their mother trys to win over her very old and sick father so she can inherit his great fortune. In the end they escape.
In the second book it describes what happens after they escape.
In the third book, it describes their children's lives.
In the fourth book, they...well, so much happens in this book, it's hard to give a summary that doesn't give away anything.
