Thaliat and I use to share an apartment, when we started I was also dating this guy who was living with us too. At the time I wasn't on SSDI yet so I was only making 500 dollars a month. Thaliat and the guy were pulling the majority of the rent and bills. Than he got fired, didn't tell Thaliat that he was collecting unemployment...cut deep into her savings. Later he started working again, but I broke up with him and he was asked to leave the household which was really hard for Thaliat because now she was the major and almost only contributor for rent and bills. I did what I could, covered internet and tv, gave her some money and bought food for the house with my food stamps...but when rent is over 1000 a month it just gets bad.
I was starting to file for SSDI but things were going slow...she needed to move back home and my family & my current boyfriend's family closed their doors on me so I moved into a homeless shelter.
Now I make almost 1300 a month but I can't get out of the shelter just yet... sweatdrop

It can be problematic and very stressful at times, but I am very lucky because the shelter I am in is in a reasonably safe part of the city and I have a private one bedroom apartment.

I still visit on weekends when I can, just like I have been. But I will be offline in about an hour. On some Tuesdays and Thrusdays I might get access too due to my arrangements with my boyfriend and my daughter's preschool schedule.
However I would really like a place of my own with regular access.

I missed you. Please, keep your chin up alright? I'm praying for things to get better, or... if praying isn't the right word, well-wishing.

..depressing things do not belong in this thread. Enough of that.
(Not to say I don't care. I do. lots. As I think has been established.)

I have to agree with you Celes (and I know you care) but I don't want a pity party. It is just one bump in my road and soon enough it will be over.
So lets have fun!
