Inmate, my ex is a diabetic (became one late in life), though he was already a heavy smoker, and I think the only reason he isn't smoking right now (if he's not) is because he's in jail  Click on my eggs and hatchlings, help them grow up! Smoking's bad mmkay...
But yeah. Never tried, nor do I wish to. My dad works as a radiation therapist (he treats cancer for a living) so the whole smoking=cancer thing has been stamped in my head for a long time sweatdrop
EDIT: Granted, my dad used to be a smoker XD

Most likely type 2 then?
I'm insulin dependant and I think smoking just increases your risk of heart attacks and some other complications.

rofl maybe med school or being in radiation made him think twice about smoking?

Smoke has always made me gag a little... its gone down to just making me cough but like I said most of my friends are nice enough to keep it away from me
Some of them though are stupid enough to tell me they smoke weed when they know I don't approve stare and then are stupid enough to ask me to join in ><

My step mom is a former smoker. Now lives with one lung and 1 and a 1/2 kidney's because of it. However I am not 100% convinced that her cancers were purely from the smoking. She worked in a factory putting motherboards together and some of those chemicals are very toxic...I think it was a combination of two that caused them.

Actually, my dad went to med school before he started smoking (or during...whatever). My parents told me he quit when my mom was preganant with me.
And before I just couldn't stand the smell of cigarette smoke either. I'm getting used to it though cuz there seems to be quite a few people at my school who smoke.
It's starting to just smell like something burning now ^.^ Which is a smell I like so it's kinda weird but whatever~

It use to not bother me much at all. However in more recent years where I have spent less and less time around it the more I find it bothers me.
It was very strange to go from here (in Mass) to VA because up here we don't allow smoking indoors period and down there they still ask smoking/non?. The smoke drifts over and I find it much more bothersome now.

Inmate: he wasn't on Insulin, but on Amoril and Glucophage Alantie: YAY!! he does look do comfortable.
