Kerri: almost all of my upper teeth were infected or heading to infections inside them, and my two bottom left molars were seriously infected. It was either $2000 a tooth to save them (times 12 teeth) or $4000 to pull and get upper dentures. And I don't have $24000 to save these teeth. So instead, I get pain for the next few days. I feel like this right now. XD But I'm doing well. And I'm actually smiling despite what the picture looks like. I'm just mega tired. Also my face isn't that fat and I don't feel that wide.

Champ: Hot dang. sad *huggles her carefully* I'm sorry to hear that your teeth were infected. What kind of infection was it? And yeah, that kind of money is brutal. >.o I've been worrying a lot more about money lately... on Saturday I actually reviewed taxes and bill and medical expenses and everything and did four hours of calculations to try to make a budget for our life. razz

Ah... Money... Money's tight here too. I'm getting calls and whatnot. I think I barely have enough to pay things that are under my name. But it will probably drain my savings, which my bank will love since it'll fall below minimum, but I'll hate very much. =_= I suppose that's what emergency savings are for though, amirite? :3
Heehee... I'm tired because of only three hours of sleep. But I'll live. I'm at a coffee shop after all. I'll probably continue that little drawing though because it's a slow day and I have a 10-hour shift.

Kerri: I got weird teeth... I spend 18 years not really brushing them, or rather, brushing them halfheartedly, but going to the dentist every 6 months, like clockwork (while I was growing up) and not one damned cavity. I spent the last 15 years brushing them more often, and better, and have cavities, infections, root canals to save one tooth, etc. Right now, I'm just lucky I'm awake, been sleeping most of the day and my tummy hurts, so I might be going back to sleep soon. Linny: Yay emergency savings. ^^ *sigh* I also calculated things like our debt factor, which is currently at $3000 a month... we keep getting checks from some things that just shouldn't exist, my mom couldn't remember what any of them were... so I took into account that we probably won't have those. razz I need to start getting our house clean, because once we do that, then we can start to live better... *sigh* Home life is frustrating right now...
Mhmm, I do things like read when I have a slow day at work. Which is not very common for me, since I work on the busiest day of the week. xd
Champ: Hot dang... that sucks. D: I got my first cavity a little while ago. razz You sound freakishly like me! o.o

I have no mousie skills either, Kerri. It's a miracle I could draw at all on the Oekaki board!
The book is Kazuo Ishiguro's When We Were Orphans. The best way to explain it is it's a mystery, spanning over thirty years in the protagonist's time, that reads like the protagonist's most personal journal. It covers subjects about human morality, goodness, change, and memory as time passes. It's slow to start but the author just weaves literary threads so skillfully and represents humanity so... well... romantically, almost raw, in my opinion.
