Human stupidity and incompetence drives them to do it. Oh, Wah wah, My life is so hard because I listen to shitty music all day, cut myself, and no one understands me! I wear all black and cry myself to sleep but life is just soooo hard! You don't sympathize because you're smart.

Having depression myself, I remember what it was like to feel like nothing was going to get better, and that my life was horrible and not worth living. Still, I didn't go and wack myself. I guess even then I knew that things WOULD get better even if I didn't feel like it or could see it. Some people just can't though. It's pretty sad.

Night Steph.
Heh... Survival of the fittest basically? I agree. Social Darwinism at it's best =3
Don't get me wrong, every time I wake up I wonder why I couldn't have just died in my sleep, but I figure that while I'm still alive, I'm going to be the biggest d**k to random people, and ruin as many people as possible... It's fun = 3

I would suppose you don't sympathize because you haven't had to experience it in your family, DP...I mean, I find it hard to be empathetic towards a situation I have no experience with...so, yeah

Well, apparently I had a brother who killed himself before I was born, but that was on the side of my dad who I've never met before, so eh, it affects me none. I know of a few people who killed themselves, and would consider them an acquaintances of mine. It doesn't affect me because, well, call it cold hearted, but I don't care. If someone was weak enough to kill themselves in the first place, then they didn't deserve to live. Of course... Certain exceptions are made (Someone is terminal and in a great deal of pain so they have a doctor give them a lethal dose of morphine or something like that)

I can understand mortal wounds and such.
I just can't fathom why anyone else could have a legitimate reason to take the only life they have (as far as they know).

I guess it's one of those things that's hard to understand unless you've experianced it yourself.
