Rofl. Yes, aretoo, I've seen the movie. And yes, the guy who plays him is a cutie- they did that on purpose, you know they had to. rofl But I meant I never saw the appeal of his character in the books. People always were fangirling over Tumnus or Peter or Caspian and I was all 'meh. I like Edmund. XD'
Sanzo: I saw the old versions of the Narnia movies when I was young, so I was hoping that the new movies would do a good job. ^^ LWW was AWESOME, but I'm still a little iffy on PC. I hope they do a good job on VotDT. It's my favorite of the books. <333

There once was a boy named Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it.
EDIT: Sanzo: just consider them alternate universe versions of the stories to help soften the blow. wink

Sanzoskitsune I just get all iffy when they turn books I like into movies... I have a tendency not to expect a lot I completely understand that. I'm always hugely critical of books turned into movies. It makes me uneasy, worrying whether they 'get it right'. Whatever that means. blaugh Eustace. XD His name never ceases to amuse.

I've learned by now that they will never get it right when they turn books into movies. In fact, I have a tendency of making it worse since I always like to read the book right before watching the movie (so the entire time I'm pointing out the minor things they left out. "the drapes aren't supposed to be blue!" sweatdrop )

Unless they essentially totally throw away the original story (see The Seeker), I'm pretty forgiving; I can see why they have to make some small changes for a different media; every Harry Potter book would have to be a mini-series, for example, and the "collector's edition" Lord of the Rings movies, at 4 hours each, still leave out quite a bit and condense come characters. *shrug* I don't even mind the occasional "re-imagining" (like, say, the Batman movies), if they can manage to stay somewhat true to the source materials. smile
EDIT: 'Night, Alantie! ^_^

See, that's what makes non-book people dislike book people.
Now, there are things that work in books, but don't work on film and vice-versa, so you have to consider the medium. You wouldn't get mad if they made minor changes to a play to make it into a movie. Or even major changes for that matter.

G'night Alantie~
I am so unforgiving when they mess with books that I like. But at this point, I anticipate their fail and revel in it 3nodding Cuz I am weird like that~
EDIT: And yes, I do realize that there are things that just don't cross over different mediums well. But I don't usually realize it until like a couple days after I've watched the movie and yelled at them (in my mind) for a while. Case in point, the 5th Harry Potter sweatdrop

I hear people complain about things like the color of this character's hair or the cut of that character's coat. You know what? It didn't photograph well. Get over it. Be well, Mist. @Aretoo — Uh, sure. >.>
