I dunno, Sanz, I think it was pretty hard to stomach. It might just be a close minded comic, but I always see those things as at least partly satirical. He might have been showing things from the most extreme point of view he could find in order to get staunch Obama supporters to think a little about what could be in store for us.
I dunno. Politics sucks. I'm just a ditch digger from China.

It just seemed so extremely and unnecessarily over the top to mean. There are ways you can make that look bad, which are offensive to begin with but not THAT offensive. That just make pro-choicers look like they couldn't care less about babies

I don't realyl find it offensive, just retarded. It's not actally funny, just seems to be a bashing of obama.

I can see how you find it offensive, but really it's people's opinion. *shrug* People will alway disagree with something so I don't really let it faze me.
Then again, I rarely get worked up over my own opinions so yeah sweatdrop
(Also, I don't get why people are whining about the coal thing >.> Coal's bad...*has been brainwashed by the nuclear engineers so yeah sweatdrop *)
EDIT: But yeah that was awful mean about the pro-choice thingy >.> Mind you I'm for the most part pro-life but I don't think about abortion like that >.>

I'm a pretty passionate person Invis, get me on a subject I really care about and I can get myself pretty heated. It's why things like this really upset and offend me. My beliefs are being put on the chopping block and said to be stupid or ridiculous, that pisses me off.

That makes no sense, Lazzie. You don't need to be here while I enjoy the popsicle. *nibbles*
And as for the comic, I'm with Jimbo there. It's satire and definitely the extreme. I don't like it, but not all messages should be easy to chew.

invisible-weirdo (Also, I don't get why people are whining about the coal thing >.> Coal's bad...*has been brainwashed by the nuclear engineers so yeah sweatdrop *) There are still entire towns in parts of the country that only have coal going for them. Kill the coal industry, and you've just destroyed entire communities who were only being held together by the mines. I know these things. I dig for a living.

Which is why you should understand where the writer was coming from. They feel the same way about pro-choice that you do with (god I hate this term) pro-life. They feel that Obama is putting their beliefs "on the chopping block" and are reacting with the same passion that you would. [edit] That was in response to: Sanzoskitsune I'm a pretty passionate person Invis, get me on a subject I really care about and I can get myself pretty heated. I have no problem with pro-life people. I think they have the right to believe what they want as long as it doesn't affect my beliefs. I don't agree with them and heck there are times when I think they don't fully think things through but I'm not going to sit there and insult their beliefs! They are trying to protect what they believe is a life that has already started there is nothing wrong with that. I just don't agree and I expect the same respect I give them.

WiskersThCatfish invisible-weirdo (Also, I don't get why people are whining about the coal thing >.> Coal's bad...*has been brainwashed by the nuclear engineers so yeah sweatdrop *) There are still entire towns in parts of the country that only have coal going for them. Kill the coal industry, and you've just destroyed entire communities who were only being held together by the mines. I know these things. I dig for a living. Ah good point. Well then I suppose a much much much more gradual shift away from coal would be better. (So wait, was he just trying to get off of coal period? Cuz something like that just isn't gonna happen in a measly 4 or 8 years. Coal is one of the biggest providers of the country's energy...>.> Quite frankly, instead of going after that industry right away, we might as well work on building up the other ones so once coal's gone it doesn't hit quite as hard...[/babble])
NOTE: Please ignore me, cuz half the time I'm just spouting words. Especially if it has anything at all to do with politics sweatdrop

There's always an extreme to both sides, Sanziekins. All you can really do is remember people have different opinions and do your best to not let it get to you. After all, opinions are merely opinions -- until one is being forced to believe something against one's will.

I doubt he plans on getting rid of coal right away cause well.. that'd be stupid. As with anything, it needs to be a gradual change. Just like us getting out of Iraq needs to be a gradual thing. All that he has to do needs to be gradual but he does need to get the ball rolling.
@Lin I know there are extremes, and I can deal with differing opinions, insulting my opinion however, is where I will usually snap back.

One just needs to not take other people so close-to-home then. Snapping back and retaliating would just cause more headache.
