Sorry if my posting is a bit lax, guys. I'm trying to master the art of tekteking. I'm no good at avitar creation, so I'm building my wishlist, saving money, and practicing. ^_^

Tae: Je vais vu Amélie. J'ai regardé le film en école, mais je ne l'ai (?) comprends pas parce que j'ai fatigué. (I always forget where to put "ai" in a negative statement, and where to put "le" as a pronoun. I fail. ._.)
EDIT: Je suis fatiguée maintenant. I shouldn't try french when I can hardly remember my own name. razz
Dark: Yay! Practice makes perfect. biggrin
aretoo: Mmm... well he'd probably be pretty yummy..

You don't fail. ^^ I can tell exactly what you're trying to say right away. You're doing so much better with your French than I was in high-school!
Je vais 1vu Amélie. J'ai regardé le film en école, mais 2je ne l'ai (?) comprends pas parce que 3j'ai fatigué.
1) Two things here; regarder, not voir. You're watching the movie, not looking at it. : ) It's easy to get them mixed up. Also, the second verb for the subject shouldn't be conjugated. Je vais regarder, not regardé
2) Je ne l'ai pas compris. The "ne" and "pas" always sandwich the auxillary verb. : ) And the second verb needs to be conjugated, it's in the past tense.
3) When describing something that's a state of mind, or something that doesn't have a set time period, we use the imperfect. J'étais fatiguée. (You're a girl. Extra e!)
(I'm not trying to be critical, just trying to help. ^^ )
Edit: Blah blah blah. Not hard to tell I dated a French teacher for 2 years. Sorry. sweatdrop

Practice makes frustrated. >_< I'm making no progress.
So I'll take a break.
Avatar exchange thread?
Wow... I just had one of those gonk moments... I just realized that the reason Mozilla kept telling me "avitar" was spelled wrong was because... it was... xd . I apologize deeply to anyone who realized this long ago and chose to keep it quiet for courtesy's sake.

@Pisces: That's one of the reasons the abbreviation "avi" for avatar drives me insane. (Just a little.) ^_^ And yeah, if you go to the first page of the Creative Crossroads and select the avatar thread, the first page will give you the specifics. ^_^ (He's very proud, justifiably, of that thread)
Spent much of your gift certificate yet? ^_^

Yunie: Hiya. ^^ French is lovely... when it's taught right.... -.-;;;
Tae: No, I know you're trying to help, I was actually hoping you would, because I knew that was not very well done, and I know you're bilingual. ^^ So thank you. biggrin Actually, could you help me a bit? I have french exams this week and I've been so dead in french the past two months... it's not that I don't like french, I really do, just I don't like my teacher, and I'm so dead tired that I need to save all my energy for chemistry, because that takes a lot more brain power. sweatdrop
*huggles Dark* It's ok. Go at your own pace, there's no rush. 3nodding

Aretoo: I say avi as sort of a pet name. Like avvie. : D Not an actual abbreviation of avatar. And I've spent about half the gift certificate, and am trying to narrow my list down now. x3 Yunie: Like I said, I was with a French teacher for two years. x3 And I studied French in uni. Annnd I worked in French for a long time. Oh, and I live in a bilingual province. razz Kerrigan_dragon Tae: No, I know you're trying to help, I was actually hoping you would, because I knew that was not very well done, and I know you're bilingual. ^^ So thank you. biggrin Actually, could you help me a bit? I have french exams this week and I've been so dead in french the past two months... it's not that I don't like french, I really do, just I don't like my teacher, and I'm so dead tired that I need to save all my energy for chemistry, because that takes a lot more brain power. sweatdrop Sure, no problem. : D And yeah, it's so hard to learn anything when the teacher is bad, or you don't get along with him or her. I didn't learn anything in French from like...grades 4 to 9! In elementary, the teachers didn't even speak French, and my junior high teacher was a douche. Our final exams were usually word searches. But yeah. How can I help?

Tae: Oh gosh, I had one year of french in elementary, grade four, because I switched to a creative arts school, so drama replaced french. Then I went to french in grade ten again and I had a good teacher, but she was just there for the year. razz Then I got my current teacher, who I didn't like even then, but the way she taught wasn't so bad last year. It's gotten worse and now she dislikes me too. Man, I wish our final exams were crosswords... I have three final french exams. D: It's crazy.
Ok, there's several things, some I can't think of right now, but one that pops to mind is what's the difference between objet direct and indirect?
Lin: Oh, Jesus was baptized today? Heh. maybe that's why my parents were so ticked I missed church. sweatdrop
Yunie: I have a knack for pretty much everything. But language more depends on the teacher for me. razz
