sweatdrop I wish I could say the same. I know fans who get brought in because of the movies do get looked down on a bit for jumping on the bandwagon of something that's currently popular. I did read the books before I went and saw the movies though and really loved them, so the movies were icing on the cake for me.
I'm looking forward to those movies too! I'm a little unsure as to what they may do with a second movie- not sure what they plan on putting in it. . . but yeah.
Guh. I have to go to bed now. gonk I wanted to Tolkien talk more!!
Namaarie!!! May we speak of the love that is LotR again!!!

Eh, she said it meant how are you. xd I'm doing well, and yourself? I don't know how to say this in elvish. xd Ah well.
aretoo: I've been reading the Hobbit and Farmer Giles of Ham since I was but a babe. It wasn't as fashionable around 1995. 3nodding I didn't read LotR till later, though I did try. It was just too hard at that time. And I can't wait to see what the Hobbit movie will be like. ^^

Ciao! (And no, I don't look down on you for coming to it later...) mrgreen
@Kerries: heheheh Agreed; LOTR has always had pretty damn high "nerd cachet". ^_^ And apparently the Hobbit movies are going to pull in some from the Silmarillion, and some of JRR/Christopher Tolken's "side stories". smile

*very belated purr from aretooie's petting* :3
Hello again everyone. My sisters had to do their homework. I'll be here, mostly, though I'll be getting Vista back on the computer (or, rather, allowing Vista to be booted :3). Interesting thing is, my family prefers the Windows 7 Beta.

Night Alantie. ^^ *huggles*
aretoo: Oh gosh, I tried to read the Silmarillion once, and failed miserably. So complicated. @.@ I'd need like a month alone to just focus on the book alone in order to read it, I expect. xd But that's cool that they're bringing in stuff from there. I don't really know anything about the Hobbit movies, just that they're going to exist eventually. xd
*thinking about her childhood memories of the Hobbit being read aloud to her at bedtime by her parents is making her sappy and want a hug. Kerrigan sets out on a quest for hugs from her parents*

aretoo: *huggles* Thank you. ^^ It's really the thought that counts. smile And now I've found my favourite copy of the Hobbit (we have several, I like this cover because it's the one I remember from as far back as I can remember) so I'm going to read that to lull myself to sleep tonight. ^^ I'm feeling very nostalgic right now~ heart
Tsuji: I think that about Kusa's avi too, all the time. 3nodding *glances at aretoo* Er, I mean, what? You heard nothing!

*snicker* kerries, have you ever seen the Griffin & Sabine books? I suspect you'd really rather like them. (You, too, Linny...)
