I can sleep through a dog stepping on my head, but I can't sleep through an alarm. Go figure.

The sound of an alarm makes me want to tear my hair out. I can hear my roommate's alarms, and it drives me crazy.
I have my alarm set to a Christian light rock station. It wakes me up and makes me want to shut it off. xp It's also on the other side of the room.
Aretoo: Three languages in one sentence, wow. x3

I don't hit my alarm clock. I just tap it with more force than necessary...

@Tae: My ex is fluent in 7 languages, and can make due in about a dozen others... smile I am so ridiculously jealous of people like that. x3 But each language you learn helps you with other languages that come from the same source. I can read Spanish and understand most of it, as long as it's not too idiomatic or complicated. And I find that Italian is more similar to Spanish than French. Unfortunately, knowing French doesn't help me at all with, say, Finnish. ;_;

So true, Tae... unless you consider the pathways of the brain being set to language retention. ^_^

aretoo So true, Tae... unless you consider the pathways of the brain being set to language retention. ^_^ I learn best by using language. It's really hard for me to learn something if I can't talk to someone in that language. Writing isn't so bad, I could undoubtedly find someone on Gaia to be a "pen-pal" with me, but that wouldn't really help with the oral aspect of the language. Like, I don't particularly care about learning Spanish, but it seems like the next logical step. Either that, or some form of Chinese. @_@ There's a large Chinese community here. But that's a little too overwhelming.
