It hates me, that's what's wrong. I wanted to save some more money before I buy a new one but this one is barely useable. It takes a good ten, fifteen minutes to turn it on and log onto my user account. Then a further five minutes twiddling my thumbs waiting for firefox to open. Then it will usually crash and I have to start the whole process over again. When we have broadband it loads internet at pretty much dial-up pace and when we go past our limit and are on dial-up I'm lucky if it can load a page at all. It struggles to run anything without crashing. Then tonight when I wasn't even loading anything, just reading a web page it randomly crashes. So I reboot and it's not connecting to the internet or getting sound and suddenly it's just come right again. (Or at least as right as it gets.)
And then Ryuuk fell down behind it and I had to get right down under my desk to get his arm back and I hit my head. Not happy, Jan! Not the computer's fault, you say? It only fell because he got knocked when I was checking all of the wires were connected properly for the sound.
Stupid computer. Can't decide whether I should get a laptop instead though...

Personally I wouldn't bother with a laptop. You already have a fine montior. Just save for a new tower, it will be much cheaper that way. Unless you have a good reason for a laptop then thats fine, but you certainly get more for less money in a tower. biggrin Just don;t let your brother download pr0n on it and break it stare

Prepare to face the ultimate torture; 70s petition songs  This is Bandit...My horse that I couldn't afford to board anymore...he was part of a set called "Smokey and the Bandit" Smokey is the black horse...  My dog (actually my sis's dog) Bailey...we've had him since he was a puppy...and that's my sis with him....oh say about five years ago...  My dog Bandit...I know how ironic it is to have a dog and a horse with the same name...I rescued Bandit (Dog) from the Pound....this pic was taken about five years ago....  This is the other horse in the set "Smokey and the Bandit" He's Smokey... Those are only 4 out of my 12 pets that I can remember having...I only have 8 out of those pets...Bandit (Dog) and Bailey are part of them...I have a cat named Oreo, because she has a white and black marking on her forehead that looks like an Oreo, she's black and white...Bugs is black and white too....Misty was black with a white spot on his chest...Ozzy was black and white....my mom's friends tease her that cats do come in other colors than black and white...Also...I had a pic of Spazz on here...I think....Spazz is a lazy ferret...he's yellow mos of the time....he's supposed to be white with black sprinkles here and there...Uno is a dwarf rabbit...we had another horse name Chelsey, but I can't a pic of her any where...Rosie and Sadi have yet to be caught on film.... Wako, Yako, and Dot:AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! Btw, I just felt like posting this stuff....

I'd usually be less stressed about it but I've been so tired (the heat here makes it difficult to sleep) and today my neck is really stiff and sore so the last thing I needed was a big knock on the head on top of all the usual computer related irritations.
@Laz, yeah, the monitor is the only thing that keeps me leaning towards just replacing the tower. The annoying thing is that dad does have a spare one in his study but he won't give to me because the case is black and doesn't match. gonk I don't care about the colour and we could always change it! I just want something that works. I mean, I don't think this spare is supposed to be much better than what I've got but not much better is still better.
