When my Surrogate Uncle got murdered in his bed in the building next to mine I was in such a shock I didn't cry for like... 3 week's and then I cried for 15 minute's!!

Sanzoskitsune If it makes you feel better Tae, I didn't feel anything for almost a year after my great-grandma died and I was close to her and loved her dearly. I mean I cried at the funeral and everything but that was mostly cause I knew I was SUPPOSED to. I was really pretty numb and couldn't feel anything about it for a very very long time.
I was kind of like that when my grandmother passed away. *huggles* I dunno. I guess this time it's different because my father was a horrible person. But it still feels wrong to happy about someone dying. ._.

Sorry to be all mopey. There's was a guy in my high school graduating class that killed himself partway through senior year. I absolutely hated him (and he me) and I knew of quite a few people that shared my sentiments. In the aftermath there were a lot of people that started acting like they liked him when he was alive and I knew that was not the case. I still feel that they were being far more disrespectful of him by pretending to like him than I was for not changing my opinion. I still say don't change how you feel, but do be respectful of those mourning him.

@Tae well like Tsuji said, they're your feelings hun. You can be forced to feel anything you aren't feeling. As long as you're not disrespectful to those around you or during the service I see no problem

Tsuji: I don't plan on telling anyone if I do end up feeling relieved that he's gone. He was barely 50 years old, and he wasn't sick for very long before he died. So it's definitely a shock for everyone. I don't want to go to the funeral, but I think it would cause a lot of uproar if I don't...

yeah it is, I remember at my great-grandma's funeral I felt so guilty for not feeling as bad as everyone else but I was just... numb
