I had my cat less than a year. Sshe tore up all of my posters, ate a $50 bus pass that I hadn't used yet, destroyed dishes, scratched CDs and DVDs, chewed through the cord on my lamp, shredded every book on the bottom shelf of my bookcase, scratched paint off most surfaces, and ate my carpet. She caused me to lose most of my $500 damage deposit, and then got sick and after hundreds of dollars in vet bills and taxi fare, died before she was a year old.
I miss her a lot, though, and I loved her dearly. But at times I would have liked to kill her. xp

Man, that sucks... though my cat knocked my much-loved electricity ball off the table and broke all the glass bits of it. I didn't kill him, but neither was I very happy with him for the next week or so... xp
@Tae: ...I don't think that was a cat, I think that was a furry demon... neutral

@ Bass: Aww that's just not right. We have like 14 pets.
@ Sanzo: GRM and I had to wake up at 4:30 this morning and drive three hours just to find out that we didn't need to go there at all and no one notified us so then we had to drive all the way back. WITH all three kids.

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
Is the mouse shaped for a left hand? If not, you can change the button alignment in the control panel
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

@GTR Eh, I'm kinda against keeping things as pets anyway.
However, if someone's got a pet dog, I'll be the first one to smother it in love. xd
I wouldn't keep a pet because, more than anything else, I wouldn't look after it properly. I know I wouldn't. The animal wouldn't have a decent life with me, so there's no point me having a pet.
That, and the smell animal food makes me want to hurl. Cat food smells disgusting~ gonk

youch... that sounds like a pain in the a**, especially with the kids. I mean its bad enough to have to drive for so long but with three little kids to deal with too... I'd have collapsed in exhaustion
edit: I'm sorry Bass I just had a PETA flashback, did you just say you're against keeping things as pets? clarify please!
though I gotta agree, if you know you can't take care of it you definitely shouldn't.
