I think Gaia has gone overboard with their money grubbing fingers! You can't tell me they don't make enough on the thousands they make off of donations, plus the thousands they make off of Gaia Cash, AND all the adds they have now. I think they could afford to not be greedy little monsters!

That's part of the appeal of her character for me, though. The appearance of innocence with the apparent lack thereof (the flashback of her getting the job as mechanic wink ).
And I've seen the end of Serenity, actually, prior to three days ago, the last 20 minutes or so of Serenity was the only exposure to the story that I'd had.
@GRM — Yes, yes, yes. I know, if you had a way of making more money with little more effort you'd leave it well enough alone. I know.

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
Sadly, Tsuji is right. In general, companies do whatever they can do to get as much money as possible. I remember Gaia before they introduced the cash system and before every page had some form of advertisement. I wish it was like that again.
EDIT: Later GRM
And I think I'm done brooding now, If I don't stop I will just get in more and more of a negative mood.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

That's why it seems Kaylee and Simon are such a weird match too me. Cute, but... odd. Genuinely.
...all you saw was the end? Wow. No way any of that made sense.

You'd be surprised how much sense I can make of something like that...
And I try to leave fictional romances alone. I will say that I know why Zoe didn't like Wash the first time she met him: It was the mustache.
@Rol — It's not just about companies doing it. It's people in general. Imagine if your boss came to you and said, "I want you to work an extra hour this week but I'm going to pay you for four."
You can't tell me that you'd tell him, "No, Sir, that's not fair to you, just pay me for the one hour that I work."

I'd be more afraid of Reavers under my bed. Or perhaps space monkeys.

I likes Kaylee 3nodding
And though I'm not happy with some of the changes that Gaia has made, I can see the reasoning behind them >.> Though yeah....it's hard not to miss the older Gaia...

I'm pretty sure that Wash's mustache is more frightening than the Reavers...

..Have you seen Serenity yet? And on that note, I think I'd be more scared RIVER was under my bed. Especially if she had something against me. Or perhaps thought I looked better, you know, in red... Favourite character, besides Simon, but she's terrifying.

River's ok, for a plot catalyst, but Jayne is the best.
