Just... rofl That's all I can do when I scroll up and read the conversation we just spawned... I think the ATG must be the Mecca of witticism and intelligence... or maybe just a psych ward... Who knows? biggrin
Hey there, Tae. How's life?
Sanzo: *huggles* Don't worry, you have a spare in the freezer, remember? 4 minutes on HIGH in the microwave, flipping ever minute, alright? Or set the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 7 minutes, or until golden brown. 3nodding
EDIT: Chex: D< O_O The Air Force? Ah well, I have some buddies that went off to the USAF. Is a good branch for mechanics. Almost every job I've heard of had to do with airplane mechanics. xd I guess it makes sense, right?

I absolutely love how the five books are called a trilogy.... I think I had one copy of "So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish" that said "the fourth installment in the trilogy" on the title

I have all of them. Mostly Harmless is the "5th in the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy"

@Pace: Yeah~ My father didn't like what I was being told and me, being impatient, had better results with the Air Force. They've treated me a lot nicer. Also, USAF sounds a lot more fast paced conerning work and what not which is something I'm looking for because I never want to become bored.
I have no idea when I'm actually going to enlist. I'd like to get myself on my feet after graduating and not flounder about, so, we'll see. :3
@Bass: Thank you. heart

I found the books much funnier than the movie, but I really enjoyed the movie in its own right. It's very, very, very rare that I like movies based on books. I usually just pick the movie apart. Kinda tend to notice all the things they've altered.

Wow... go to look for some paperwork for Kusa, and posts just ZOOM by! By the way... I don't ever TRY to break people's brains... it's just a talent I have... rofl
Books CAN be a lot funnier than movies; they have more room to expand, and let's face it, there are some things you can do with words that are untranslatable to scrren. smile

That's cause they usually fail in making the movie, like seriously fail. It's why I'm threatening to blow up hollywood one of these days

I think it's because the Guide has had so many incarnations at this point, they had lots of different things to base the movie on. Douglas Adams was an amazing, amazing man. RIP.
A lot of what makes the books funny is the way things are worded.
"...a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea." " The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't."
Stuff like that can't really be translated on screen, like you said, Aretoo.

I think that's why they had the voice over guy, he tried to add a little of that to the movie

@Sanzo: rolleyes Tell you what, Sanzo... Soon as you make a movie that can satisfy ALL the fans of a book, and get it past the studios, and get it financed, and have it come in at approximately 2 hours, let me know... I'll be curious to see what it looks like. rofl ^_^
