People say "deal with" and I have NO idea what that even means. Does it mean accept that he's dead? Because I have. I don't even want him to come back.

I just don't know how I feel, and I'm not sure I ever will. It's painful, though.

Well, by "deal with", *I* mean processing your feelings for him (be they good or ill), not wishing he was back or anything. But... I'm kinda a logical guy, more or less, and tend to process stuff like that. smile (And "processing" could just mean letting go of him once and for all, for that matter.)

Heh... just had some Mormon missionaries at the door. They were giving me the spiel, and I really wanted to ask if they'd seen the movie "Latter Days". I didn't though. When they (or rather he, as the other missionary was just kinda standing there) paused for breath, I said, "Thanks guys, but I have my own belief systems, and besides, I'm gay; the Mormons don't do so well with that."

"Uhhh... are you OK?"

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks for asking, I'm just gay." ^_^

In my opinion nothing sould really be said like that at all. The only thing that should be said is maybe "I'm here for you" etc. Telling someone to "deal with it" or "it will get better" is just ignorant and hurtfull. I'm not sure If I'm really explaining this well sweatdrop hope you guys understand what I mean.

It doesn't bother me or hurt me when people ask how I've dealt with it, or tell me that it will get better. I just don't understand what they mean. Maybe I don't process emotion the same way as other people (or...at all). I mean, I feel horrible for Seph and I don't even know him. I wasn't close with my father whatsoever; hated the man. To lose someone that you care about...well, I lost my grandmother, so I can kind of relate. I think?

It doesn't get better, exactly, you just spend less time thinking about the person. For me, anyway.
