Aretoo: Hours at work are good. ^^ I think the call centre I work at will shut down soon. It's just rumours so far, but it makes sense. If that happens, I might just go on EI for the summer. >.>;

Employment insurance. Bits get taken off my paycheques, and I get it back over a period of time if I get laid off.

xD Well, it wasn't inspired by the book, to be honest. Although I can see the resemblance.
It started out looking a lot different, and sort of evolved. I've been doing too much tekteking these days. @_@
And we just call it EI or pogey (I have no idea why). x3 I dunno if I'd qualify unless I quit my flowershop job prior to getting laid off. I can't afford to live on what they're paying me at the shop.
