He rises to an upright position, standing at ease with his hands clasped in front of him.

"You have your Number Two to thank for that one, of course. Slim has proved most able in your absence, sir. You are right in stating that your appearance has been much awaited. In fact, there are several RPers participating who haven't actually met you before. It would prove most interesting for them.

"As for the picture, if you could find it, I'd be most grateful. It has so many applications in my current situation.

"As for what I've been up to, I could sum it up in a single word: navy."

He shakes his head slowly from side to side as a gesture of the hopelessness of his situation.  

[Undakai]

There is a tiny explosion just above where Undakai was relaxing, producing a scroll that seemed to from from nothing. Kai grabbed the scroll and tossed it at Pisces. As it flew at him, it opened up, reveling a picture that seemed to be printed onto it.

"There you are, and sorry to hear about that navy thing. Had you asked, I would have advised the Air Force, though, I can't say you'd be in a much less hopeless situation."

Pisces catches the scroll deftly, holding it so he can see it fully. After a moment of admiration he says, "You, sir, are a gentleman indeed. Thanks for this." He pockets the scroll for later use and takes a seat, cracking his neck from side to side with two swift motions.

"I suppose it could be worse, right? I could be over in the Sandbox dodging IEDs. I'm getting paid to operate a reactor from beneath several yards of steel. I'm quite safe. It's just... the military in general isn't my bag of worms. I prefer deeper meaning deals. Psychology and whatnot."

Roland stands up and brushes himself off. "Trying something new, it would seem. RPing in the Phunkeh?" Roland says, then turns to Undakai and waves. "Names Roland, new guildie."

'Cause this battle's just begun.

 

[Undakai]

"Well, it can always be worse, but personally, sometimes I'd rather be over there dealing with mortars then over here dealing with home station style supervision. Sometimes I swear they make new rules just to ******** with us." Undakai heaved an exasperated sigh, taking a sip from his glass. "And Trying something new?" He asked, suddenly shifting his focus to Roland. "You should know that I almost always turn this old bar into a full fledged RP when I enter...it makes things...fun"

Roland grinned and said "Well, it is new to me I suppose. I've never seen it get like this in here. Then again, I haven't been here that long."

Emerging from the corner of the Phunkeh, Invis had a bit of an embarrassed look on her face. "Sorry about that Pisces...I sort of fell asleep back there." She began to trail off in her thoughts, "Not like I really needed the sleep..."

"Hm...What's this? The mythical Undakai is actually here?"

Ok well that's just weird. I think I'll go back to posting like I normally do in here. Anyway, hullo there ^.^ I'm....fairly new here (though if my memory doesn't completely suck, I think I'll have hit one year in the ATG in a few months...)  

[Undakai]

"Yes, well, I do not believe to many others did the same, but it was always amusing to come into this thread and start rping. Without even knowing it several others would begin doing it too, and pretty soon, the entire thread would generate its own RP, if only for that day. So much has happened in this thread..." He stopped talking a little bit, just letting the old memories flow to him. "Ahh...but those days are gone. All there is left to do is make new ones..."

He looked around the room and frowned slightly. "Which means, we need to get more people in here..."

Roland glanced around the room as well "It seems that the Phunkeh has become empty as of late, the revival of the IRC has attracted people into the chatroom. Which means they sometimes lurk, and sometimes not even that."

"There is a chill in the guild tonight..." Tsuji turns about, "Oh, it's you, Undakai..."  

[Undakai]

"Hmmm...I seem to remember back when even the IRC couldn't keep this thread from moving a page a minute. You were always behind, but it was a fun time anyway. Regulars like Sanzo, Indigo, Slim, Jimmy, Bass, Jaft, Viral and a whole list of others all on at the same time, with a few irregulars posting in too...it took no time at all to hit that 10k mark...now though...still working on 20." He shook his head

"Ahh, here I go rambling..." He looked up into the rafters above the bar, a common hiding place for lurkers. "Well, Guess I should take a look in the IRC sometime this weekend."

He lazily got up from the couch he had been sitting on. "And how the hell do all these new people know who I am...am I really that famous around here?"

He notices the entrance of a very familiar face. "AH! Tsjuji...or however the hell you say your name, how are you?"

Roland laughed and said "You have an RP named after you, one that I participate in. Not to mention, things do come up when you talk to people who have been here for a long time, people like Sanzo and Tsuji here."  

[Undakai]

"Yes...well, Actually I think I have three RP's named after me...oddly enough...

This most recent one really has my interest...it's going to take me a bit to read through, though."
