Hey there, everyone. :3
I've thought of a couple more places I could work: Home Depot Lowe's Baskin Robbin's Walgreens
I would work at other food establishments, but I'm just afraid of how I'll be treated. Bakin Robbin's is the only place I'll allow myself to work because the people who work there are usually somewhat nice. whee

*pulls Kire, Tae, and Chex into a hug* Hey, guys~!
@Kire: Doin' pretty good! How about yourself? @Chex: Ah, you're applying for work? Me too! I'm willing to work at food establishments, but only as a waitress or hostess... I can't cook to save my life. And if I see how that stuff is made, I'll probably be too grossed out to eat at the place again.

*Nuzzles Slim's neck, purring.* Hey there. :3
Oh yeah. There's a McDonald's at the next intersection by my house that I could work at, but there's no way I'm doing that. Let's just say that McDonald's claims everything they use is natural and... it's not. No one's on cow duty. I know. A friend of mine's a manager at another branch.
I could work at Blockbuster's, but... I've delt with people renting movies at the library I worked at one summer and that was a nightmare. I was alphabetizing those more than I was doing anything else.

@Slim: I'm doing good... basically doing nothing but reading manga.
Did anyone watch the premiere of Warehouse 13 on SciFi?

@Chex: No. D8 Fast food is a big N.O.
I think I'd like working at a place like Blockbuster's, or a library. Alphabetizing is kind of peaceful... And I'd love making little remarks on the selections.
@Kire: Can't say I have.

There's Olive's Garden somewhat close to my house. I wouldn't mind working there.
At the particular library I was at was uh... in the homeless area and seeing as it gets oh... 100+ degrees here, let's just say I had to deal with smelly homeless people while I put those movies on the shelves.
@Kire: Reading manga all day was what I was doing the other day.

I'd like a job at a video game store. Some of my friends have jobs at Gamestop, and say it's a fun place to work at. Lately, I've been thinking of going for lifeguard training and becoming a lifeguard at the YMCA near my school. That job is kinda of easy since you sit around & tell people not to dive in the shallow end of the pool.
Hope you find a job that works for you, Chex.

I just wish I had my own car. If I had my own means of getting places besides relying on my bicycle, I could have more opportunities to work. But! Insurance is through the roof if I get my own car.
I called GameStop to see if they were hiring. They weren't. A friend of mine went to turn in her application and she said they glared her down. She goes, "It was scary! It was like, 'God, I'm just here to hand in my application, calm down.'" She didn't get hired. I hear they ask for all the systems you have in your house, gaming history, etc.

@Kire: I applied for a GameStop. biggrin I'd love to work there! Be in my element, talk to my kinda people... I think it's hiring, too. People are always quitting that place.
Unfortunately, they quit because the manager is a little......... off. Infamous for sexual harassement in the work place. ._.
But I'm a big girl! If I'm hired, I can handle myself.

Be careful. You think you know yourself until a situation happens and then you're all muddled up again.
My friend, who applied for GameStop, got attacked on the way home one day. She was walking with a friend when this guy game up behind her and started beating her. She's deathly afraid to walk now, though she doesn't admit it.

I certainly will be careful. <.<
Worst case scenario is that I'll have my backside hit or something... >_<;; And horrible as that'll be, I can enjoy the paychecks beforehand and quit shortly afterwards.

*Shudders.* That just scares me, thinking about that sort of thing happening in the work place.
