To fix the defecit... if the department's building shuts down for one day, it'll save for electricity, air conditioning, and pay to the employees, which is also called a furlough. All state employees have to take the pay cut... it's irritating. We started furloughs in February taking two days and 10% of our pay. we just recently got another 5% which makes us take 3 days off without pay. They're thinking of giving employees another furlough... it's hard enough for most of us to take the 10% paycut already...
Damn you governor!!!
EDIT: and Firing another 2,000 state workers...
