y boyfriend is arguably much moei nto the Magic scene than I am, but this time I was the one informing him about the event. he's known about every Open Series, but when the big event finally comes to town, he has no clue.

I feel so bad that you haven't been to anything of the sort. They're fun! Small cons are a bit more fun that large ones, I've found, but there's just something about Otakon that makes it different.

I'm thinking about maybe going to GenCon some year... That's a big comics/gaming/anime convention in Indiana. I've only been to one con before, and that was a relatively small anime convention I decided to go to with a friend last minute...
But if I go to the big one, I'd want to go for multiple days and then I'd have to figure out accommodations for the few days I'd be there for all of the awesomeness and... sweatdrop

I am so incredibly excited that I get to sleep in tomorrow. Or at least, I was, until my friend was like, "You know, you run...I run...let's go for a run tomorrow morning! How does 7:00 sound?"

Oh gosh. I should knit this weekend when I'm not working on all sorts of homework or watching movies. Or I could knit while watching movies, but then I'll miss all of the visuals... I tried painting a miniature while watching a movie once and was completely surprised the next time I watched the movie and realized that the two main characters had had sex while I was working on some minor details. Like "What, when did that happen? Oh yeah, I was trying to add accent colors..."
