Sentama Lin Arcanas Sentama Lin I agree; IE should die. But since my focus is user first and accessibility, I have to make sure the sites I design work in all the browsers and methods all people would use - including text readers, mobile phones, braille tablets, screens, printer, etc. 3nodding it's glad to know someone's thinking of the user first, rather than everything else Meh... it influences my web design whenever I make a new template in hopes that I will someday be hired freelance (probably my second job as I work as a teacher). What's the point of creating an awesome website with lots of info if nobody can see it or appreciate the work it took to make. I dunno..nowadays, it just seems to me that everyone is focusing on the content, rather than if everyone can actually see what's going on.

Do you mean like pretty eye-candy content or actual useful information content.
I've sort of noticed both branches. I personally think that (although it is hard) one can create websites that have eye candy and still look good no matter what media it is viewed in.

Hmmm... okay, so I can see random images when I use IE but all ways just the same one when I'm browsing with Firefox now... confused

Ahhh... so were you saying that people are focusing on style and content without focusing on accessibility? correct...like all the times gaia has undergone renovations...after learning how to use it once, I've had to learn it all over again...-_-

Yeah... I'm a little bothered by that too.
Sure... I know the audience was initially made for users that like anime and hence should be able to see, but I have friends who are blind or deaf that cannot access Gaia online because it will not work with their text-to-speech browsers and braille tablets.
I would've so loved to forum with them online if I was able.

I would've so loved to forum with them online if I was able. yeah..it's stuff like that, that majorly irks me...but on a side note, I love TTS on Vent text chat...so much fun to hear the voice and when it doesn't say words you type...^_^
