I got called a lesbian once for saying I was a feminist I think it may be because when you say the word "feminism" it seems more like your for females being treated better then males, rather then equal treatment of both sides, which is what the original feminism movement was about. I personally don't consider femals wanting equal rights for female and males feminists, but rather equalitists. It makes more sence to me to say it that way, and your less likely to have someone confuse you for a feminazi 3nodding

I'm proud to be a feminist, despite the bad femnazi's who ruin it for us >< There's plenty of things about this society that isn't equal. Like the idea that men can't be raped. Men CAN be raped, it is perfectly possible for a man to be raped by another man or even by a woman. I'd just like to be free to say "hey I'm a feminist" without all the negative feedback
