I visit the Philippines often and I've stopped in Hong Kong and Tokyo for a little while - even when it was just waiting for my plane to arrive (which takes from usually a few hours to about two days). I enjoyed my small visits.
Edit: Now, now... it's not fair to attribute the attitude of a few bigoted individuals to all individuals of a culture. If the entire country of France thinks that then yes, that could be deserving of negative feelings from me.

Kire Kaysan pnytenshi I've only been to Asia once and then i've been to Europe plenty of times... the only place in Europe that i did not like was France... They treated us like crap because we were Americans... that was so stupid... they stereotyped us... and we weren't the stereotypical Americans.... The French are like that. I didn't want to stereotype like that though... but now that i've been there, i can now... because that is the impression that they gave us...

I'm sure that there are some cool French people, but until I see proof I'm to treat that thought the same way I do Sasquatch: Doesn't exist. -Tsuji

Tsujigiri-san I'm sure that there are some cool French people, but until I see proof I'm to treat that thought the same way I do Sasquatch: Doesn't exist. -Tsuji I can understand that; it's really hard to respect a culture when the people of that culture cannot respect one's own. I'll say this though: I have spoken with many wonderful individuals in real-life and through the Internet who are French.

Yeah, the extent of my French people exposure has been through fencing, so I get double the stigma there. Online, well, I really haven't run into too many French people online to save them from my bigotry. -Tsuji

Mhm... well, in the Internets, culture, gender, and whatnot are sort of nonexistent. People really only know a person by their screen name (or the information a person chooses to reveal).

Yes, and I understand that I have probably run into a French person or two and greatly insulted them. -Tsuji

Hehheh... well that's the Internets for you! XD
In any case... one shouldn't take things said on the Internets too heavily anyways. While I'm guilty of becoming offended by what people say on the Internets, getting offended on the Internets is pretty silly.
Which means... that I'm pretty silly according to my own logic. sweatdrop
