I could never get into an MMORPG. The concept of buying the game, and then having to pay a monthly rate to play doesn't sit well with me. Yeah, I know that there are a few that are free, but there still isn't one that really gets me intrested, free or otherwise.

Normally I'm the same way, but it's really really fun, or else I wouldn't have gott'in an account. :XP: But yeah, way too addicting...

I'm that way right now with Sims 2. I thought I'd sworn off Sims games after I burned out on 1, but here I am, with 3 expansions. redface It's so bad, I'm saving up to upgrade my computer to make the game play better. xd It's something I've been meaning to do, it's just Sims 2 kinda brought the whole thing to a head.

After I upgraded my compy last time, I'd look at a game and think, ' whee I'm way over recommended requirements!'
Then it was, 'I'm right at recommended requirements.'
Followed by, 'I'm close.....'
Then 'Well, I'm still above minimum...barely sad '

Now, I'm to 'I'm 800MHz BELOW minimum?! gonk '

I'm still shopping. That Tiger Direct link you gave me tempting. But there is a new Compy parts shop that opened near me that I'm looking at as well. You know, support the locals? I want to see what kind of prices I get. They seem to know a thing or two, plus, if there's a problem, I can actually take the part back.

Well, as long as it ain't a big corporation place, then yeah, you should be able to get some deals. There used to be a family owned one near me, but it closed 'cause they moved or something. But yeah, I keep bugging my parents and my Uncle and Aunt because all of their computers need a lot fo work, espesially my Aunt and Uncles'. They still have 64Mb on it for Ram! eek

Hard drives keep getting cheaper, which is good, COnsidering thatI'm going to be building me a newer comp here soon. My old one is just too out of date.

That's awesome. Maybe check out Tiger Direct for parts for it. I know they sell decent computers for pretty cheap, but they might also sell just components.

Well, I got my new compy!

It's a AMD 64 Athlon 3500+

New Motherboard with Onboard Sound, Ethernet, Firewire, and a crapload of USB2.0 ports.

1 GB DDR RAM

GeForce 6800 GS

120gb SATA Hard drive

Awsome new case

Windows XP home

I reused my optical drives, monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I'm using it now, I just wish I could get the rest of the crap of my old compy. I did the file and settings transfer wizard, which got some of it, but my MP3s and stuff didn't make it, and now the two computers won't talk to each other. crying Oh well.

Oooo, Oooo, new computer eh?! Awesome! Yeah, sounds a'pretty-pretty sweet. You can never go wrong with as many USB 2.0 ports as possible. I still got plenty of free ones. I've been tempted to but some useless novelty item that plugs in to one of thems just because, like a little fask fish tank and when it's plugged in to the USB it moves the little fishs around, or a little dancing Santa, I dunno, but something pointless just to use my extra USB ports. Yes, sounds very gewd!
