Above are the cakes for a wedding I just got back from. It's weird that they had several cakes instead of one big one. I didn't stay long enough for the cake because my mommy wasn't feeling well, but I wonder if they roses are real... eek

Well I've seen stranger; apparently wedding pies are becoming more popular than wedding cakes nowadays. Then again, this is assuming I trust everything the Food Network says.

If I ever get married- and that's a big if- I want to bring back a certain old tradition. See, the wedding cake originated from a tradition (I think might have been French or something) where the guests would bring breads and pastries, and the idea was to stack all of it so high that the bride and groom could not kiss over the top of it.
