Say that you made a date for the day that you go to the con... but you didn't know that you were going until after you had made the plans... which would you choose the date or the con??

Ew. I don't like those options...
On the one hand, I would choose the con beause if we really cared so deeply for each other, he would understand my need to go. Cosplay is life, after all.
On the other hand, cons come and cons go, but love... well... that's something different.

what if your date was sophisticated and rich and didn't know that you were a geeky otaku... but you had changed your look and everything else when they were around, just so that you wouldn't scare them away as the otaku....

Ah see then I WOULD go to the con, sorry but I'm not going to hide who I am just for some guy. I am who I am and they would need to accept that

Psht! That ain't love, in my book. They have to see me as I am and love it as part of me. Given that, it's the con. If I'm cosplaying either way, I'm doing it as an anime character. talk2hand

well, in Train man, the girl that he loved was lied to... the person that she loved dearly before him had cheated on her and she didn't really get over that until two years after. She was so heartbroken that she couldn't love anyone...
In Japan, the otaku is looked down upon... so he's picked on by his family and everyone else in the world... and he was so happy that there was someone who cared about him...
He then lied to her about the con and he told her that he was going to work. when she found out that she had been lied to, he tried to apologize but she dumped him before he could say that he liked her...
He tried hard not to show his real self but his real self came out anyways... when he thought that he was going to lose her...
You guys should watch it... it's really good....

See this is why you shouldn't lie about yourself from the start, it all ends badly when you do
