Half of his clothes were burnt off, almost his entire body was red and brown.... They said it didn't look good. He's dead, I'm sure. If he isn't it'll be a real miracle.... I know that it's fake, I've dealt with their fake symathy before....

Well, I'm back. I can still taste the smoke and the metalalic taste the air had, images still playing in my mind, but that's just too bad for me because that's reality. I always knew that there was no world in which no one gets hurt. The sad thing is that everyone around here can just go on as if nothing happened because it happens a lot around here...

Celestial Burden Well, I'm back. I can still taste the smoke and the metalalic taste the air had, images still playing in my mind, but that's just too bad for me because that's reality. Well, the thing with firemen, or with any job that deals with death, is you tend to take death a whole lot less seriously. People come and go, and die here and there. Sometimes, from the constant exposure to a certain enviornment, people seem to become insencitive, and will laugh at or make light of something outsiders would normally consider sickening or cruel. It's a matter of perception.
