Exactly, people come and go, die here and there. I know. I said it isn't his death that bothered me or that they were laughingafter he was out. They were laughing before he was out, while there were still men in the house looking for him. That is what I found sickening. I mean, my friends and I saw his body hit the steps, heard the thud his body made, saw the burns, we could smell the burning flesh, and we went on and laughed at some stuff on /b/ at 4chan. It didn't change the fact that before we knew what was happening we were terribly upset and I literally went into a state of shock.

sometimes when people laugh, they probably didn't know what type of expression to give... or it's out of how uncomfortable the situation was...

Pny, if only you could have heard it. It wasn't the nervous type of laughter used in awkward situations or anything. No, it was a real laugh like, "haha, that's hilarious."

From an outsiders perspective, we look at a fireman laughing about life as sickening. The thing is, they see death every other day, we do not. A lot of the times, when in a stressful career feild, you make fun of your job...a lot. When your job involves dead people, they tend to get included. It's not a thing of cruelty, it's simply perspective.

I know what you mean, about how people can laugh at death. Death doesn't affect me. Not at all. However, when I know that someone could be alive and suffering in pure agony from their skin metling off, how can anyone laugh at that?

However, when I know that someone could be alive and suffering in pure agony from their skin metling off, how can anyone laugh at that? Simple, by being exposed to that kind of thing every day. Think of it as a painkiller. It doesn't affect you right off, but given a little bit of time, the pain is slowly numbed away untill it is light or nonexistant.

I know what you're saying, I guess I just keep questioning it because it's like a movie on loop in the back of my mind. It's something you never forget, something you'll always see no matter what. It just...gah, it makes no sene at all. I know what you mean by the exposure thing. After all, while a lot of people would be affected by the sight and sound of people screaming at each other, meaning a mother and a daughter, everyday and yelling obsceneities at each other, the mother saying how much she wants nothing to do with the daughter and the daughter saying how much she'd rather live with foster parents, I'm not. Happens everyday so I just don't care. A lot of people are disturbed when they hear someone they know was raped, or killed. I'm not. Happens a lot around here. It's Baltimore, what can I say?
