It is a lot funnier. Other than that there is no big difference. The anime actually had more sequnces for it all. So if the parts that were not added really importaint then I would say the anime is a lot better.

I know there are some differences that are more obvious as you get later on in the manga but I can't remember how far in it starts changing

Well so far nothing big has changed. Just at the part were Ed has his Automail fixed after the first encounter with scar.

((OOC: She's a quick to be drunk. Rum had spilled on the plate that had her cheese on it, and Kasumi didn't realize it (page 557 I believe is when it started). So the cheese on the bottom had a bit of rum, and it only took two pieces to get her drunk... sweatdrop Luckily she passed out quickly this time... So now she has a hangover.))
