Don't do that, RIN. It never solves anything. I tried to kill myself through choking to make it look like an accident 10 years ago and it wasn't a fun experience.

I just feel bad because I had to cut some branches from a tree today because I had to do some yardwork.. Granted, the tree had a branch that I could make and shape into a really fine wand, but I didn't have enough gifts for it's spirit in exchange for cutting it. I don't think the two pieces of rose quartz I gave it will be enough.

Well, periodically return to the tree and form a bond with it. Give it gifts. I dont have a wand.....yet. I certaintly can't have an athame.

I'll do that. I'm a Unitarian Universalist, but my study of different religions - including Wicca - never really leave me. I'll try talking to the tree some more during this summer and perhaps leave it something I have baked. To thank it for the wand and allowing me to accomplish my chores.

I see. Well, I think that's wonderful. Yes, talking to the tree and gifts really will help. It's really odd, I've been seeing a stray cat recently and she never leaves my alley.
