Sav, you just don't know a whole lot about me. Here I am going to merge the two conversations that we have going into a single thread:
You are too young to know, but a long time ago there was a great war between the Awesomemancers and the Pirinja. We won, but it was indeed a struggle. Before the war I was an a*****e much like you (actually, I was a better one cause I wrote the rules...) but in the midst of battle at the sight of such a great fight I changed my ways and gained a power that no practicing a*****e could ever understand. This power is what keeps me going.

No, Sav. I was never an Awesomemancer. I was a Pirinja that was a practicing a*****e. I turned away from being an a*****e and it freed me to unlock greater power. I was never an Awesomemancer and therefor could never have betrayed them. I have always lived and fought as a Pirinja.
The great traitor you speak of was the one that started the war and is equally shunned by the Pirinja.
