Did you know that almost every year there are approximately 12 million car accidents involving 21 million cars?
Commercials are smart.

Ala, I would not sujest trying to find insperation, rather let it find you. Watch the movie "Orange County." It is a bit of a teen movie deal but just pay attention to the main character. ^.^

MrJimmy Alarias Hrmm...so, I've been trying to think of a way to get a job where I don't have to pee in a cup (possibly the most degrading procedure ever conjured up)...and I've come up with two options... Join a band and make it big. Be a famous author. So, I've decided on the author one...and I really wish I knew where to draw inspiration from...all I have is one awesome title that wasn't my idea at all...and some griping about my childhood. neutral Ideas for my writing are usually an amalgomation of everyhting I'm interested in at the time. My girlfriend, D&D, books I'm reading, games I'm playing, people I meet and see everyday; music, television, snippits of neat sounds I hear, or a movie I see that has a neat premise that I think I could write better. If you look at something and say "I could write about that!" Then you can be an author. Yeah...sounds good...I just always have trouble taking my ideas places... Err...I mean, I'll get one image but when I fiddle with it, it turns to crap... I think I need a formula...

But to redefine something Kata said, you can find insperation, it's usually not as brilliant as the insperation that finds you. When I needed to write, but was out of insperation, I think it might have been someone in the guild who told me to just write. Just write down the first thing that comes to mind and expand on it more and more, and keep going for as long as possible. If the thought leaves you, space down a few lines and start with a new idea. Just writing in tandem with your thoughts. It's quite satisfieing, and you end up with some great stuff.

In other news! Jimmy! You are writer of things most incredible, and perhaps preposterous, and with a vast knowledge of the complex workings of the intarnetz, yes? I seek your employ, if time can be had to accommodate my silly whims.

I'll have to give that a go...maybe people will* think I'm really super deep and intellectual if my story is seemingly pointless surprised

I basically picked up from the movie that you have the insperation right were you are and that is where the deep emotion runs. Being someplace for so long gets attatched to you that the story just becomes not only you but what you experience. sweatdrop

I'm sure I might be able to muster some good words to hand to you about yon internetz, if the case is as thus, as I assume.

My home is one where nothing happens, so I have a hard time adapting that movie's philosophy to fit my situation.
