Either way the parents aren't teaching them to be responsible and the drinking age doesn't come in to play for those people anyway.

God-Raped-Me La Belle Isolde I think honestly the suddenly being allowed to drink thing is really bad... because I bet their parents never had a reason to teach them about proper alcohol usage. The sudden power to buy booze has definitely gotten me into trouble because I didn't grow up having to think about it. Thats not the kids fault though, thats the parents fault. And they do need to expirment with it because if they don't make the mistakes they won't learn from them. If you slowly let your kids drink then they learn that drinking isn't something you HAVE to do, they learn that it's a social or special occasion thing. On a side note... when baby take a poo, they make funny faces! About the second thing you said. That's actually what my parents sort of do with me. For it surprised me when, just last week, they openly offered me a bit of their Mudslide.

But why should the kids be punished. They're going to be drinking at least by the time they're 16. They need time to understand booze and it's affects before they get older and have more of a chance of doing something lifethreatening. maybe a drinking age of 15, they don't have access to a vehicle, and if it's supervised by at least one adult, then hopefully nothing bad will happen. As long as that adult doesn't mind broken s**t or vomit.

Quite literally I might add. I almost got killed once or twice. ^_^

When I was 14 and they had their parties they would let me have a drink or two. I only ever went to 4 parties, and when I would have my own we never got crazy drunk. You do learn that you shouldn't drink to get drunk if your parents do that for you. Then the one time when I did drink to get drunk, I puked and almost had alcohol poisning. Not cool!

If you never plan on drinking then thats ok, but if you do plan on drinking at all then I think you should go out and drink. One to see how you are when you're drunk. Just because your family might be violent doesn't mean you will be. My mom is a happy drunk, my dad is a sleepy druink and my uncle is a stupid/angery drunk. However when I'm drunk... apperentally I'm a funny drunk, but I can get very defencive too if the time calls for it.

La Belle Isolde Once I have my hat I swear I'll be helping people get stuff ^^ Will you help me get an education ? lol I'm a bumbling idiot. I'd say I have a learning disability but I'm too lazy to find out. Also, I believe they charge for that service. Or at least that's what I understood from that one teacher I think he said if you're a student at this college you dont' have to pay but uh..I can't afford either at the moment. >_<
