A Letter Never Sent (a skewed sonnet)

If I were to write a letter
In the beginning I would say "I Love You."
I'd say, "She's no good I could love you better,
She can't be trusted but I would be true."

How would I have it sent?
In a message in a bottle thrown across the sand?
Could I be sure you knew exactly what I meant?
Only thing you can be sure of, I won't deliver it by hand.

If I were to write a letter
Could I say I love you?
if it were to hurt you would I really be better
if you would break if I spoke what is true?

I could never see you hurt
So this letter shall be burnt.
