The Kingdoms Of Endymion And Selene For the kingdom, the power, and the glory, now and forever!
It has been 100 years since the start of the second moon war, where the kingdom of Endymion, the inhabitants of the Earth, and the kingdom of Selene, the inhabitants of the Moon, fought bloodied battles in their respective lands and the vastness of the space surrounding them. Broadcasts of the earth's fresh green fields, colourful flowers and forests, and rich natural resources air every day in every channel in the kingdom of Selene's media networks, along with charismatic recommendations of all able citizens to join the effort of securing the resources in the name of Selene.
Moved to action by the messages of your country, you have joined Selene's special space-naval unit, the Einhanders. The Einhander forces are few, and only the bravest of Selene's citizens volunteer to enlist, for the Einhander mobile crafts are quick, speedy, powerful, but fragile. As such, the pilots are prepared for death at all times. The risk is heavy but the rewards are great if your missions bear fruit.
For weeks on end you've been trained in simulations to toughen your mind, body, and spirit for your first, and only, mission to the kingdom of Endymion. Today's the day of your first and last assignment: explore the Endymion cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroy all hostile individuals, and await further orders from Space Carrier Hyperion.

The Ships
Each pilot in the Einhander space-naval unit has a choice of three ships to fly in their suicide missions to Endymion: the Astraea, the Seraphim, and the Paladin. The ships are identical in terms to speed; the ships were meant to move with alacrity in even the most hectic of battle situations. However, the ships' innate defences are few, and even a few hits from any form of ammunition may bring the ship down. As such, it is important to dodge enemy attack as much as possible.
Each ship is equipped with one Manipulator arm and at least one Machine Gun. The Manipulator arm is a versatile tool that can grasp and utilize the disabled firearms of enemy units and interface it with the Einhander ship. In addition, it's "claws" can reach out and destroy enemies who get too close to the ship.
The ships have the basic creature comforts and features: climate control, radio signal send and receive, radar, HUD, digital rearview display, storage for combat rations, and first aid kit. While the default colour is blue and yellow, individual pilots may colour their ships to their liking, and many did during their months of training.
The Cherubim
The Cherubim comes with a Manipulator arm and a single Machine Gun. However, the Cherubim unit is special compared to the Seraphim and the Paladin because, at the pilot's discretion, the Cherubim may disable the Machine Gun in order to simultaneously use a second firearm confiscated from an enemy unit. The Machine Gun isn't permanently disabled if this function is used; it will resume working once the second confiscated firearm is dropped.
The Seraphim
The Seraphim, like the Cherubim, comes with a Manipulator arm and a single Machine Gun. In place of the Cherubim's feature of using two confiscated firearms simultaneously, the Seraphim can store up to three different enemy firearms inside its ship. However, only one firearm can be used at a time.
The Paladin
As the other three ships, the Paladin comes with a Manipulator arm. Just like the Seraphim the Paladin can only use one confiscated firearm at a time. The Paladin cannot store more than one confiscated firearm. It's advantage to the other ships, however, are two Machine Guns. In addition, the firepower of the machine guns are stronger on the Paladin, and the Paladin is also capable of strengthening the power of confiscated weaponry.

Images of Endymion strolled through Mathew's head as he steeled himself. Green flowing trees, clear waters, tall skyscrapers with advanced technology, and happy people were some of the better images; but every bit of spacecraft captured and dissected by Selene intelligence taints the peace.
Selene's cold and metallic wasteland was littered in half-built colonies. There were no trees, no real water, no mountains, no rivers, no animals. No life, save for the complexes built by Selene's citizens, could survive on the moon. Meaningless, perhaps it stirred a bravery deep inside the pilot's mind as the female voice responds again.
“Seraphim-Class ‘Golden Envy’ is now cleared to launch. Godspeed, Mathew.”
Even before the Golden Envy enters Endymion's atmosphere, ships were already swarming to meet the first Einhänder pilot launched. Military police, it seemed, what with the cab-like look, sirens, and the six-pointed star logo painted on their sides. In a delta-wing formation, with a larger armoured tank behind the police cabs, it was Mathew's first challenge.
“Fire at will! For Endymion!” The tank, mounted with an armor-piercing cannon, transmits through the radio waves. In seconds, the police cabs fire bolts of shells at Mathew…
