I can't stand major league anything, but I love playing soccer. I'm on a soccer team right now and hope to try out for the freshmen girls soccer team in the spring.

Soccer. Is. AMAZING! Lol. It's the best sport ever, the Americans need to appreciate it more. I mean, a lot of us do, but the rest of the countries are all soccer fanatics!

All the Americans (as a whole) focus on is football and baseball.

Don't take that offensively, please! I'm just saying that as a whole, soccer is not talked about as much as football and baseball.

I agree, Americans (and yes, I'm american) really don't appreciate soccer enough. I love it to death, it's pretty much my favorite thing in the world. biggrin
I like other sports, obviously, but soccer is simply the best.
(Especially since the last team I played on was all boys except for me... just saying. wink )

My best friend has played soccer for seventeen years and now plays and is a soccer referee. I've never played because when I was a kid, they didn't have soccer leagues for girls sad

I also agree that I think Americans need to pay more attention to soccer. I'm sick of football. I am a huge baseball fan though...

Anyway. I've played soccer for 17 years and am now a referee. FIFA and USSF are my life.

I love soccer but sadly i wont be playing for most of the season this year cause i broke my leg...I was running with the ball shot it in the goal and just after i kicked it in the goal a huge guy knocked me down and fell on my leg....Therefor having a fractured tibia =X gonk

I like soccer, but i;m just not equipped to play it.

I've played off and on my whole life, and i;m just falling apart.
I've got loose knee caps and tendonitis,
I played all season (as a forward) with a stress fracture in my femur,
and my ankles are shot.


sweatdrop I don't think I can make myself play this season , i'll have to get knee surgery or something because my knee is still going in and out of place

And I love soccer! We call it here too, but there's a bit of a movement to call it football... and the other football footie. I mean, it doesn't make sense that footie is football when you can hold the ball and football is soccer when you can't... sweatdrop

But yeah! I can't get to games/pay club fees but I do play when I can! I'm a defender pirate
